The default path is optional.

The map most people follow, one job, one city, one way of doing things, isn’t the only map that exists. Most people never question it because nobody shows them the alternatives. The Income Toolkit was built to change that.

How it started

It began with one uncomfortable observation: the system that’s supposed to connect good people with good jobs doesn’t work the way it should. Claire saw it firsthand during eight years in recruitment. Talented people, passed over because their CVs didn’t reflect what they could do.

The fix started on Fiverr, a platform that was almost dismissed as a scam. What began with travel planning gigs and proofreading orders became a resume writing business that’s now served over 20,000 clients and generated over $2M. The edge was straightforward: years of making hiring decisions meant knowing exactly what the other side of the desk was looking for.

The three-lever experiment

But the business was only half the experiment. The other half was testing whether an entire life could be redesigned by pulling three levers: earning differently, spending strategically, and living intentionally.

A one-way ticket to Thailand cut costs and gave the business room to grow. A campervan built during lockdown was driven across thirteen countries for a year, the business running from clifftops and lakeside spots with almost no overhead. Then came a year of housesitting and workaways, living for free in other people’s homes, from historic Scottish estates to off-grid mountain properties.

Portugal

Then came the house. Bought outright. A ruin to rebuild. Land, dogs, sunshine, and the financial breathing room to keep building what comes next. Every chapter confirmed the same truth: the default path is optional.

You don’t need to earn more to live better. You need to rethink the equation. The Income Toolkit is the compass for people ready to chart their own course, built from real strategies, honest stories, and a journey that’s still unfolding.

What we stand for

  • Question Everything. The default path is just one option. Every assumption about money, career, and lifestyle deserves to be tested against what’s actually possible.
  • Action Over Permission. You don’t need approval to redesign your life. Move first, refine as you go.
  • Honest Adventure. The wins, the failures, the pivots. All of it. Not just the highlights.
  • Global Thinking. Your life doesn’t have to fit inside one postcode or one career path.

Start redesigning your lifestyle.
